Introduction
This website is dedicated to my (Peter von Gaza) mountain photography. I have separated my mountain photography from all the other photography that I have done. Although I seem to sell more photographs of none mountain subjects, my true focus as a photographer is mountains. Exploring remote mountain regions is what I like to do best. I like to think that I follow in the spirit of the classic mountain photographers that have so dominated the last hundered years: Frank Smythe, Victorrio Sella and Bradford Washburn. My other photography can be found at Shadow Lynx Artworks.. My other life, that which revolves around remote sensing, high accuracy GPS and computer programming will be found somewhere on PIXEL MAPPER (need to get that organized too!). These pages contain portfolios of some the mountain ranges that I have been lucky enough to visit over the past 20 years. They include: Mt. Logan and the St.Elias Mountains in Yukon, Denali National Park in Alaska, Yosemite National Park in California, Mt. Cook and the Southern Alps in New Zealand, The Karakorum in Pakistan, the European Alps and the Canadian Rockies.
